From the marketing I see, the film would attract a mass varied audience from DC comic fans, to those who just enjoy superhero films, yet I feel like the main target audience for DC's Wonder Woman is teenage girls (ages 15-18). I feel as though this film targets teenage girls, as it is a very empowering females plot, a strong woman solo superhero film directed by a women, especially as the film had a lot of support from Girls.Inc who's slogan is 'Inspiring Girls to be strong Smart & Bold', with whom Wonder Woman shares those characteristics. The film could make girls feel like their own superheros, and that they can be strong just like Wonder Woman.
Also Gal Gadot, in various interviews has spoke about body image, such as the fact that her body didn't look much different after all her training for the role, yet she felt much stronger than she ever has before which she loved. This would make young teenage girls feel less insecure about that bodies, how what you look like is not important, it is how you feel. Gal Godot was also told that her breasts were not big enough for the role, however she went ahead and ignored the comments made, and played the part anyway, empowering young girls everywhere to not listen to sexist comments made and to go after what they want. Another factor is the fact that, none of the posters are provocative, the billboards and adverts do not make Gadot seem like a 'sexy' superhero, they display her as powerful.
