  • Industries and institution are very different things.
Long Road 
  • They show a girl with pink hair, to show that long Road accepts originality, and allows people to be themselves.
  • It shows that at Long Road it is very independent as she can be 'treated as an adult'.
  • The house style of text is very bright and colourful pastels, making the Long Road seem friendly approachable place.
  • The website shows various different students as they are all different so it appears to various different personalities.
  • They are posed in various ways, to represent many different persona's.
  • Josh makes the school look responsible and grown up.
  • The school breaks the stereotypes, as Isabel looks arty yet she does American Literature,Josh look like he would do politics yet he did Level 3 Media.
  • Isabel is represented in that way as it shows that she is original, she looks a lot like a hipster.
  • Long Road puts across values and messages, as they need to get more students there to make more money, competing with Hills Road.

  • It looks like the petrol gage in a car.
  • The red corresponds to the red empty petrol warning in a car.
  • The orange and red symbolises fire, which links to petrol as that makes a big fire.
  • The colours are extremely bright and bold, so you will definitely see it when driving.

  • The shell almost looks like a sunrise, symbolises routine that you must got to shell nd get your petrol. 
  • It looks like a shell so its natural.
  • Two colours simple and clear.
  • Sharp lines inferring that it is fast.
  • They are included in some controversies, they hurt the environment, they are expensive etc.

  • It has a resemblance of the statue of liberty, so it is American.
  • Green is the colour of money in American.
  • The hair is very wavy so it may make you feel hypnotised and tired so you want a coffee.
  • We know it is a she as it has long hair , green and natural, and is a mermaid.
  • The crown suggests royalty.

First Impressions Of Newspapers

  • We know it is going to be very controversial as Donal Trump is usually associated with them.
  • We know that it is more of a gossip newspaper as the language used is informal and chatty, such as 'Trump On The Gropes'
  • It is covering TV show actresses drama.
  • The word Corrie infers that the audience is British, as that is a slang word for a soap opera.
  • The word 'sleazy' used to describe what Trump is not formal whats so ever.
  • The daily mirror is very anti-Trump, and is making him look like a sex driven maniac, giving the ideology to the audience that he is a bad man,and gets them to dislike him.
  • The dominant reading is the Tump is a pervert, as instead of 'Trump On The Ropes' it is 'Trump On The Gropes', which is a taboo childish joke.
  • By using this style of pun it suggest that the target audience is a childish working class.
  • Most of the typography is Sans-serif, inferring that this is an informal newspaper.
  • The image of him being kissed by a women helps towards the image of him being sex driven.
  • The image used makes him look sleazy and stupid, and makes people dislike him even more.
